Monthly Challenge (Accountability) Groups

What Are These Groups?

In summary, these groups are the highest level of support I can offer an individual in an online environment, and we follow a simple formula to achieve success:

FITNESS + NUTRITION + ACCOUNTABILITY = SUCCESS!

Many online coaches/programs simply provide you with a workout plan or diet guide that you will have to follow on your own. This is totally different in that we throw in the added benefit of having accountability, and this accountability alone is what’s helping thousands of people across the U.S. and Canada achieve their health and fitness goals.

My monthly group can best be described as a small online community of folks who share a common goal to get fit and live a healthier lifestyle. The groups generally contain anywhere from 3-10 people, and last for 30 days. I have created a unique curriculum that is designed to keep you engaged, motivated, inspired, and challenged for the entire 30 days… and it works. Everyone (I mean literally every single person) who commits to one of these groups, stays, engaged within the group, and follows the plan will see results. Do the results vary? Absolutely… however, everyone will see some noticeable changes in their health/fitness within the month.

What To Expect:

  • Daily There will be daily challenges and tips posted within the group. You are to engage with the post (in addition to completing your workout).
  • Week 1 “Setting The Foundation” During week 1, our curriculum will have you searching deep within for your WHY, calculating your body fat percentage, calculating how many calories you should be eating, learning about macros, learning how to track everything, goal setting, creating a workout schedule, and so on…
  • Week 2 “Nutrition and Tips” During week 2, we will continue to explore nutrition. We will discuss supplements and supplementation, cheat meals, other nutrition tips. how to measure fitness progress properly, and how to deal with muscle soreness.
  • Weeks 3 & 4 “Challenges and Personal Development” In weeks 3 and 4 you will have a mix of nutrition, physical, and community challenges. You will continue to learn about proper nutrition and so on, but we take it up a notch with these challenges. Now, don’t be concerned about comparison… the challenges are NOT you being compared to the other challengers. It’s all about YOU vs YOU here. There is also a chance to wins mall prizes… you know, just to keep things exciting and interesting. In addition to these challenges, you will have a small personal development schedule to follow. This generally takes only about 10-15 minutes per day, but it’s vital! We want a total transformation… mind and body.  = )

Who Are These Groups For?

Although anyone can benefit from taking part in one of our monthly groups, the folks who see the largest benefits are those who:

  • have tried and failed many times at getting fit and healthy.
  • tend to struggle with motivation.
  • have no (or very little time) to workout, but understands the need to do so.
  • struggle with portion control or overeating.
  • need to be held accountable and feel a part of something.
  • generally don’t know how to being their fitness journey.

Testimonials & Results:

Check out what just a few of our previous challengers have said about the groups! Note – A few of folks have actually won $500 in the Beachbody Challenge. They got paid to get fit… how cool is that?!?

Three years ago I weighed 270LBS. I Bought Insanity. I tried to start it many times and quit. I walked for exercise and crash dieted. In a year, I lost 100lbs. Very unhealthy and gained 50LBS back. In August of 2013, weighing in at 212LBS, I was introduced to Mike Smith and TeamIronman. I was asked to join a challenge group. I had decided I needed to do something about the weight but was very hesitant because even though the weight had come off before, because of the way I lost it (and then it coming back) I knew I had to do something different.  Mike and the challenge group members taught me that there is a better way to be healthy, and to be successful at keeping it off.  That it is more than just losing weight. Its about a lifestyle. It’s about being the person I am meant to be.  Being a part of TeamIronman has changed my life, my outlook on fitness, and my outlook on teamwork.  Every member of this group puts in 110% and because of that, it makes me want to put in my 110%. I am a work in progress and because of what I have learned from Mike, My goals are attainable. I finished my first round of Insanity, and am getting ready to start another round. Accountability is one of the key components.  It is what gets me up every morning to push play another day!

I started my fitness journey by myself but soon found it to be challenging to continue to workout hard and eat clean every day.  I had lost 14 pounds but had hit a plateau.  Joining a challenge group like Mike leads, allowed me to make new friends, give and receive encouragement, provided accountability, all while pursuing common goals with those in the group.  I lost an additional 15 pounds (29 lbs. total and 16.5 inches total, 6 inches from my waist) to reach my goals.  I have been through two 30 day challenges and plan to do more in the future.  Mike does a great job providing challenges, tips, and fostering an atmosphere that can help anyone make progress toward your fitness goals.  If you are serious about getting into shape and getting healthy, you owe it to yourself to give it a try.

Mike Smith set up a Facebook Challenge Group which I participated in back in August 2013. I originally was not going to join but last minute I figured “Why not? What can it hurt?” I am so glad that I choose to participate because I have made some great friends who are on the same journey as I am. We all kept each other accountable by posting our workouts and encouraging each other. The August group had challenges we all had to complete be it dietary or physical and we learned a lot from one another by doing these. The support I gained from this group was amazing. I am still friends with all the folks and some new ones. We still help each other out, and Mike still has our back.

Mike Smith has been there for me from before I decided to commit (there’s that word again). I found him through Twitter and once I saw his website, I knew he was the Coach I needed. There was just something about him that I felt like I could connect with… not sure how to explain it better than that. I almost felt like I knew the person he explained himself to be in his biography, like he was really talking about me. When I contacted him about being my Coach he was more than helpful with getting it done. I receive emails from him and Facebook chats… and I know people who think he’s just doing it because it’s his “job” as a Coach, but I don’t get that vibe from him. He cares… genuinely cares about those he’s helping. And not everything is about fitness with Mike, he wants to know us, we’re more than his Groups… we’re friends… if I may be so bold, we’re like a family.
